Misconstrued Youth is the debut mixtape of the American recording artist Appollo Creed, releasing on April 22 of 2014. A south side Chicago native it was produced by Creed and Paris Willis at demo factory recording studios in Chicago. This mixtape is the culmination of life experiences in Roseland a african american community on the lower south side of Chicago.Growing up in Chicago and attending public schools such as Kenwood Academy in hyde park, influenced Appollo to start the project in the summer of 2011. But it would be put on hold due to financial and educational constraints.Diverging from the dominant drill hip-hop culture of Chicago today,Appollos lyrics on the mixtape concern themes of family, religion, self consciousness, materialism, drugs, sex and personal struggles on smooth catchy melodic samples and high intensity bass rhythms. The mixtape is promoted by singles including ,”Is you with me” ,”Agape Love”, “Feeling You”, and "The Prayer “
